Scott get to see his child

My name is Hope, and I’m trying to raise money for my son, Scott Dabney, to pay his lawyer and fight to see his child. He has been trying to get visitation rights to his daughter, whom he raised for four years before his ex-wife made up all kinds of lies about him to get rid of him so that she could be with her boyfriend. He didn't cheat on her; he didn't abuse her and didn't ask for any of this. He was not perfect, but he tried to be a good husband and father. His ex-wife now has their daughter living in Washington with a man she is not married to. Scott has paid a $4000 retainer and has been paying his lawyer $250 every other week for over a year now; they told him he was good as long as he was trying to pay something. Then they sent him an email yesterday saying that he had racked up a $9000 balance that, if not paid soon, his case would be dropped because it’s too hard of a case to have that high of a balance. After a year and upwards of $10,000 later, the only progress that has been made is he’s been able to face time her a few times and has gotten four supervised visits with her that lasted a few hours each time. He has paid for numerous evaluations and lie detector tests, and he has passed all of them. He has done everything he can just to get the right to see the child that he fathered and helped raise for four years. Those of you that know Scott know that he was a wonderful father. You also know that he spent every moment he wasn’t working with Ember. When I had her, and she did ask about a parent, it was always Scott she asked about. Once I had her for a whole week, she didn’t ask about her mom even one time. She is still in Washington with her mother, so he has to fly out there to see her. His ex has a free lawyer and has their daughter, so she can be aggressive and put this off as long as she wants. I haven’t seen or spoken to my grandbaby in 2 years or more, but I never had money like that to hire a lawyer and fight for grandparents’ rights. His ex has no good reason why she won’t let her talk to me; when they lived here, I babysat all the time, so she is just being petty for whatever reason. My heart breaks for him and my grandbaby, who has just been ripped away from all the family she has ever known except for her mom and the new boyfriend.
