Scott Givens Hospice and Medicine

Friends and family of Scott Givens, clients of S&T Specialties, and anyone who has been blessed with a friend as good and steadfast as Scott, time is now to pay it back and pay it forward.

After being diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and exhausting all treatments available, Scott has made the decision to enter hospice. The medicine Tolvaptan has been crucial to maintaining his sodium levels. When his sodium drops, the symptoms begin with allover muscle cramps and then progress to hallucinations and possible coma. While going through cancer treatment, the drug Tolvaptan was essential to keep his sodium levels regulated. No longer covered in hospice, the medicine originally cost $15K from a specialty pharmacy. Through Mark Cuban’s website costplusdrugs.com Tolvaptan is available for $1,600 for 30 day supply at 15mg. Scott’s doctor has prescribed the medicine allowing Scott’s wife, Tina, to order it once cash can be paid. Scott is out of his last dose now. We need $1,600 right away, and another $1600 every 30 days to cover the cost of this medicine.

Other end of life expenses are needing covered as well. Scott’s company, S&T Specialties, will no longer continue as Scott was the master tile installer and kitchen and bath remodeler. Since Scott is in hospice, work has halted. Everyday life expenses are mounting… rent, utilities, insurance, food.

Tina will eventually be moving and building a room onto a family member’s house. This will reduce costs and continue to provide shelter for Tina and the family cats.

$1,600 for the Tolvaptan is the first priority. We’d like to raise $20,000 overall in this first phase as hospice starts, bills pile up, construction starts and Tolvaptan needs to be ordered every 30 days.
