We all know Scott Goldstein to be a wonderful dad, devoted husband and friend to many. He has done something so many do on a daily basis. VAPE. How it was to change his life no one knew. Scott wasn't feeling well on Sept. 4th. So he went to Urgent Care, but was sent home. Sept 6th he went to the hospital with stomach pains but they sent him home. Saturday sept. 7th Scott woke up with 105.5 temperature so he drove himself to the hospital. They admitted him that day. Later that day as Scott says " my lungs turned off and they can't find the switch to turn them back on". His lungs had stopped working. They called it pneumonia at first. After further test of his lungs top to bottom they found they had crystallized. Scott is the first in our area to have this.
Sept 12th scott got news they were rushing him to Oshner Health formally LSU. As of now he is on oxygen around the clock. He has water and oil on his lungs that they can't get rid of.
His message to others " if I die let someone else live off my mistake".
We want to help Scott and Kelly financially because they have enough on their plate. They aren't sure what they are going to do. We are unsure if or when Scott will be able to work again. He has a wife and daughter who are not only emotionally devastated but this is financially devastating to their family.
