Scott Lischka Family Medical Expenses

Donation protected
UPDATE: August 29th. With deep sadness, Scott has been placed in hospice as of today at home with his family near his side during his next phase in this difficult journey. Please consider helping their family out as Lori and their children will be taking time off to be there for him.

Hello, my name is Micki Klemencic and I am a friend of this beautiful family. With the blessing from the Lischka family, I have started this account to share Scott's story and help them out any way I possibly can during this difficult and challenging time they are enduring.
I had Scott's daughter Ashley write up what her Dad is going through currently.

August 2022 my family's world was turned upside down when we got the devastating news that my Dad (Scott Lischka) young age of 58 has stage 4 terminal stomach cancer. My dad had a huge mass inside his stomach, and lesions in his liver (which were not concerning at the time). We were clueless about what was to come….
My dad had to instantly stop working due to doctors' orders. Every week he had several doctor appointments, including chemotherapy and immunotherapy. The doctor had set up 12 chemotherapy/immunotherapy treatments, every other week.

Everything was going smoothly, all his tumors were shrinking until December 2022. My dad was starting his 11th treatment, and we got horrible news that the chemotherapy he was on, was no longer working. He then had to try a different chemotherapy, which kept all the tumors stable until May 2023.

Over the Memorial Day weekend, we found out the cancer was taking over his liver. He was in the hospital for a week, during this stay, he had stents put into his liver to open the liver so the bile can run through. His bilirubin was escalated, and his body was pretty jaundice. Now, he is on his third chemotherapy.

The biggest thing my family and I can ask for right now is prayers.

Thank you for taking the time to read my dad's story ❤️

In light of the circumstances this family is currently facing, including Scott's inability to work, they are facing additional financial responsibilities due to the significant deductibles and out-of-pocket costs associated with his treatments. If you are able, please consider making a donation to support their family during this challenging time. Your contribution would make a meaningful difference. We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation for the love, support, and prayers you have already shown to the Lischka family. Your generosity is truly invaluable to them.
