Scott Ludwig’s Recovery Fund

On Wednesday, May 31st, Scott Ludwig, Husband to Carol Ludwig and Father to Nate and Hannah Ludwig, was in a bicycle accident that caused a serious traumatic brain injury including skull fractures, a ruptured ear drum, and brain bleeding. He was taken to the ICU, where he still remains, and underwent a surgery to remove a portion of his skull to alleviate brain swelling. He made it through the first surgery, but just a little over a week later, had to undergo a tracheostomy surgery to help him breathe due to his lungs not being able to function properly on their own. Through out all of this, he has experienced several bumps in the road including a bad case of Pneumonia, Burkholderia, and multiple seizures.

The doctors have informed the Ludwig’s that this won’t be an easy or speedy recovery, and to prepare for the long journey ahead.
