Scott Sechman Cancer Relief Fund

Donation protected
Outer Banks musician Scott Sechman has been diagnosed and is being treated for Small Cell Lung Cancer.

I met Scott Sechman 6 or 7 years ago at Arts Place during Open Mic Night. I knew right away he was the real deal musician. As I got to know him over the next few years, I learned of his passion for music, friends, family, and life. The consummate musician and performer found his way into the local music scene, playing solo shows, as well as several duos, most notably with OBX icon Kevin Roughton (Kevin Wilder, the Wilder Brothers).

The treatment plan for Scott's cancer includes three consecutive days of chemo, for approximately three to four months, the entire summer plus some. Because Summer is when we musicians make the majority of our income, that is where the Go Fund Me comes into play. As Scott's ability to work is limited, so is his income. We all know how fast the medical bills pile up when a major medical problem is discovered. Additionally, the type of chemotherapy he is receiving is extremely hard on the body.

Any donations will help to ease the stress and allow Scott to focus on healing. He has a hard fight ahead and he's going to win it with a little help from his friends. Please join me in supporting our musical brother by donating and sharing this so the word gets out to everyone.
