Scottie Selke critically hurt, hit by drunk driver

Donation protected
On February 10th, Scott Selke was driving home from work around 8:30pm when he was struck head on by an impaired driver traveling 70mph on the wrong side of the road. He tried to brake and maneuver out of the way, but it was too late. He was immediately rushed to Chandler Regional Hospital and has been fighting for his life ever since.

By the Grace of God, his head, neck, and spine were spared, but the rest of his body was not. Every bone below Scott's neck is either broken or shattered. He has already undergone four intense surgeries on his hip, pelvis, and abdomen to stop the internal bleeding, and he will need roughly 20-30 more surgeries to repair the rest of the damage.

Scott will be unable to work for the foreseeable future, and Julia will have to stop working for at least a year to care for him. We launched this page in hopes of offsetting their financial burden, and we appreciate anything you can give.

Scott moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1986 to open up Rosati’s Pizza and has called Ahwatukee home ever since. He is deeply loved by his friends and family here and in his hometown of Chicago. He and his wife Julia share eight loving children, six sons-in-law, two daughters-in-law, and eleven grandchildren.

Please continue to keep Scott in your prayers. We are eternally grateful for each and every one of you.
