Scott Tarnoskis fight against AML (acute myeloid Leukemia)
Donation protected
On Saturday, April 17, 2024, my father, Scott Tarnoski, was diagnosed with AML (acute myeloid leukemia). Although he has a long fight ahead of him, we are faithful that he will not only rip the band-aid off and start his fight, but he will put up a fight like no other.
For those who do have the privilege of knowing Scott, know how much his career as a captain means to him. While he is always happy, he is happiest out on the water with his friends, family, and clients. The thought of not being able to work or see his loved ones is already taking a toll on him however, he is using it as motivation to come back stronger than ever.
Scott has so much life to live. Over the past couple of years, he and his girlfriend Laurie closed on their forever home on the lake, adopted their fur baby Oakley, and his career just began to take off. They always say, “Find a job that you don’t need a vacation from” and he did just that. Knowing how excited my dad was to finally be living the life he always dreamed of has been enough to keep him strong.
Later this week, he will hopefully be starting chemotherapy treatment. He will be at Roswell Park Cancer Center in Buffalo, New York for a minimum of two months, and then will need to continue treatment while in remission. We are very hopeful and confident that he is in the best care possible as this cancer center specifically specializes in Leukemia. While we are grateful, that he will be at one of the best treatment centers, he will be two hours away from home and 5 ½ hours from his family in New Jersey with little visitation privileges.
All donations will go towards any additional medical expenses, as well as to help Laurie cover any expenses back at home. There is no contribution that is too little and we love and appreciate you all for reading this far and considering a donation. If you cannot donate at this time, please say a prayer with us and keep the positive vibes and love going for Scott while he kicks the sh!t out of this Leukemia. While he has a long fight ahead of him, I know he can overcome anything with the support of his loved ones.
As devastating as this is, I know my dad will come out of this stronger than ever. He has a huge army of people behind him, and I know that is enough to motivate him to push through. We appreciate your love and support more than anything during this difficult time.
