Scott Tinker Family Memorial Fund
Donation protected
The Tinker Family (Scott, Michelle, Casey and Cameron) have been hit with a double tragedy. On Sept 6 Scott's parent (Warren and Jo) were in a serious car crash with his Dad airlifted to the Med and his Mom airlifted to Vanderbilt. His Dad did not survive, but thankfully Mrs. Jo is recovering at Vanderbilt. Over the last week Scott & Michelle have been caring for Mrs. Jo and had to bury Mr. Warren, who was a very kind man and special to all who knew him. Yesterday, Sept 17, Scott was at Vanderbilt in Nashville with his mom when he received the heart wrenching news that their 26 year old son, Casey, was shot and killed in Memphis after leaving work. It appears that he was approached by burglars as he was getting in his car; they shot him as he attempted to flee.
This is an exceptional family who has helped so many people in the Jackson community and beyond. Scott gives generously and selflessly of his time videoing athletic events as well as all school functions so that families have life-time memories of their children. He has also created many college-recruiting videos to help athletes achieve their dream and volunteers extra time to capture video stories of special events like Operation Hope and the USJ Prayer Garden. Michelle is just as talented and is well known for her monogramming business and a deep love for all sports. Cameron is a graduate of USJ and Rhodes, where he played baseball, and is now preparing for Medical School.
Our hope is that friends will donate to bless this family in an amazing way! They have to cover the costs of two funerals in less than two weeks, plus significant medical costs for Mrs. Jo. The Tinker family has helped so many others, it time for us to help them in return! Our prayer is that we overwhelm them with our generosity at this tremendous time of sadness and need. Thank you!
