My brother, Scott, passed away Friday February 12, 2021 unexpectedly. We are very saddened by this. He is very loved. He leaves behind a legacy of love for his girls, Kristin and Jessi, and his grandkids, Brayden, Mason and Kaelyn. He leaves behind a large extended family that loves him very much, and a mother that has a special connection with him through the love of a mother we all are lucky to enjoy from our special mom. He had love for his many friends, love of service through Rotary and many other avenues, and love for art in many forms some of which are leather work, drawing, and music. Whether he made it himself or he was just a fan, he brought things to life.
He was recently diagnosed with 2 different types of blood cancers. (I have no idea what they are called and I am not the type to stop what I am doing right now to go get the proper terms. Sorry.) Both treatable, but not curable. He was currently in treatment and doing well. He had a long road ahead of him, but the prospects were good.
He has built a successful accounting firm, and work was in motion to help transition the business to his oldest daughter, Kristin in the event of his death or inability to work. Unfortunately he passed away unexpectedly from an accident in his home. His daughter, Jessi, is the one that found him and has had to take on the brunt of the initial stage of this event and deal with emotions she should never have to face. His daughters, although preparing for a time like this, were not ready. There is so much that lands on their shoulders, especially for Kristin who is the trustee and now has the task of taking on the business and the personal responsibilities Scott had. This is all happening in the middle of tax season. For an accountant like he and his daughter, Kristin, are, or were, this is too much.
If there is anything you can donate to help them pay bills and keep things going until they can sort things out, it would be greatly appreciated.
