This is about an amazing man and wonderful family. The Carter family and the husband, father, grandfather, and friend is Scott Carter, Scott Carter was dignosed with kidney failure. After five year on dialysis he was finally given a chance to live his life again.
On April 30,2016 his wife Rina Carter wrote: OMG! JuSt got a call from Transplant Team! potential donor! please pray for this donor and their family! Scott Carter & our family! I am trembling! please God answer our prayers! Scott has been struggling terribly for 5 long years. The Gift of Life he so desperately needs is being offered!
On May 1st less than 24 hours later his daughter Kristel wrote on Facebook : Hi everyone, I'm very sad to say that my dad was not able to get the transplant. My parents got the call around 1am to go to Penn. around 8:30 this morning they took him to do the transplant. While they were operating they found that my father has Atherosclerosis, peripheral artery disease of the legs (which is narrowing in the arteries of the legs). If they would have connected the new kidney it would not have gotten the blood it needed to function and due to the Atherosclerosis and already limited blood flow to his legs he could have have either lost his legs or possibly lost his legs and the new kidney. Right now he is recovering from the surgery and in dialysis. Thank you for the love and prayers we truly appreciate them! Much love to all of you.
On the morning of May 7th,Scott's wife, Rina Carter posted: Dear friends & family, The Kidney Transplant was aborted & there is no hope of Scott Carter receiving a kidney. The surgery was long & very complicated. We our doing our best to get through this difficult healing process. As most of you know, he has been on dialysis for 5 long years. Dialysis keeps you alive however it affects your organs in a very negative & harsh manner. Simple message....cherish the moments & love what matters, your life as you know it can change in the blink of an eye. We truly appreciate all the love & support. This family has not asked for help but I hope that you can find it in your hearts to give what you can so that they are not worry about the bills but can focus on the last memories with this amazing man that they call husband, father and grandfather.
