Education Fund for the Gillam Family
Donation protected
Scott Gillam, 45, of Olathe, Kansas passed away on Friday, April 9, 2021 after a long and painful battle with a rare form of cancer called Cutaneous T-Cell Lymphoma. He was surrounded by his wife of nearly 19 years (Lisa) and their three children (Ashleigh-18, Braeden-15 and Kara-12).
Scott’s highest priority and concern in his final days was for the future financial security of his children and most immediately, for his daughter, Ashleigh, who will be graduating from Olathe West High School in May. She will be attending Saint Louis University in the fall and he was so proud of her for all of her academic achievements. Therefore, in lieu of a public visitation or flowers to the service, we are setting up this Go Fund Me to support the future college education expenses for Scott's children.
After he passed away, Scott's wife Lisa found the following drafted note from Scott:
"Thank you for considering a donation for my daughter Ashleigh and contributing to a fund that will assist her with college costs at Saint Louis University. I am so proud of her academic and leadership accomplishments. I’ll never forget when she started telling me about the schools she was accepted to, I was so proud. Your donation is so much appreciated during these difficult times for our family. Bless you."
