Scott's Vocal Cord Surgery

Donation protected
Last week I was diagnosed with a cyst on one of my vocal cords. While not malignant, its removal will require outpatient surgery and weeks of vocal rest that I am not looking forward to at all. Not only do I love to talk but as an actor who relies on his voice to make a living, I will not be able to work for almost a month. My smoking cessation business and hypnosis shows will also be put on hiatus.

Like most entertainers, COVID-19 hit me pretty hard. Filming came to a halt, gig work dried up and survival jobs closed. Between the initial hit of COVID, the double tap of the Omicron variant and a horrible roommate that depleted me financially, I came back to Florida to rebuild. I won't beat around the bush: I am broke. Brokity broke. Yet somehow I barely made enough to pay the bills but not to qualify for affordable insurance. Without insurance, the first pricing I got for this surgery was almost $12,000. Fortunately, I found a specialist out of state that is significantly less expensive but still not free. So I am turning to America's #1 source for medical finances (GoFundMe) for help. No donation is too small but if you can't donate, please forward to anyone you think might. And keep an eye out on my Facebook and Instagram accounts, I am thinking about doing some Zoom-based fundraiser shows or play readings. If you have any ideas or requests, let me know!
