Scouts Campsite Repairs Newcastle Floods 2020

Please help us raise funds to pay for repairs to the damage caused by the floods on 25th August 2020
1st Newcastle Scout Group is a cross-community youth group based in Newcastle Co. Down. Unfortunately due to Covid-19, Scouting activities have been cancelled for the majority of the year.
A lot of work has gone into improving the campsite over the years and is used by the Scout Group most weeks as a base for activities and games, along with camps over weekends and by other scouts groups from all over Ireland.
The campsite usually takes bookings from other scout groups which help fund the maintenance of the site. Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 bookings were cancelled so there has been no income for this year.
On 25th August the Shimna River in Newcastle Co. Down flooded which resulted in substantial damage to the Scout Campsite in Tipperary Woods in Newcastle.
With the schools starting back, a return to scout activities was on the horizon however now with the damage to these facilities the kids will be missing out when we do return. We hope to start repairs before the kids return to scouting.
It would be really appreciated if you could donate what you can help fund repairs.

Damage to outside Dining Shelter - all the outdoor seating had been repainted during lockdown. A number of benches have been swept away:
