Scout’s Life Saving Scans and Surgery
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Courtney and I am Scout’s owner. Scout is a 5 month old Corgi puppy and a part of our family. After he started acting as if he was comatose shortly after eating, we rushed him to the vet only to find out he has what’s called a portosystemic shunt. His liver is not receiving the blood flow it needs to function and grow properly. Today, 7/13/22 his vet, Dr. Naomi of Shawnee Animal Clinic, called to inform me that more of his blood work came back and his case is severe. We need to start by traveling with him to The Ohio State University Veterinary Medical Center in Columbus Ohio to have a CT Scan with Contrast performed under anesthesia and then surgery to correct his liver shunt and save his life. Over 50% of dogs get euthanized 10 months after diagnosis due to severe complications, so we need to act fast. This is my very first GoFundMe. I don’t ask for help, but I am begging you to please donate even $1. Please help us save Scout’s life. Thank you!
