Alex Nalven’s Legacy

Join us in honoring Alex’s memory by supporting an organization that assists individuals who suffer from depression and other mental illness, and their families.

Alex’s own journey with depression inspired him to reach out and comfort anyone and everyone in their time of need, and his legacy is his unwavering empathy for all. Alex was always the first to show up in support of his friends, and offer one of his signature hugs that somehow made you know that everything would be ok. Through his mission to de-stigmatize mental illness, Alex became an advocate for those who could not advocate for themselves and was accepting of all. Let’s keep Alex’s memory alive by committing to stand up for those who cannot stand up for themselves, and putting others first.

His family and countless friends will always remember Alex for his love, compassion, and kindness.

The Mental Health Association of Monmouth County (MHAMC) is an affiliate of Mental Health in New Jersey and the national nonprofit Mental Health America. MHAMC is dedicated to promoting mental health as a critical part of overall wellness, including prevention services for all, early identification and intervention for those at risk, and integrated care, services, and support for those who need it, with recovery as a goal. Our mission is accomplished through MHAMC’s strength-based programs, education, advocacy, community partnerships, and attention to local, state, and national public policy.
