Scream For Help
Donation protected
2 years ago on Halloween. I lost my youngest brother Jeremy to an overdose. He was staying with me because the rehab center he was at wasn’t safe for him. We didn’t have the room for him but we made it work he slept on his nephews floor and continued his therapy and rehab. Our community has suffered with this situation. Families are torn apart children live with relatives they may or may not know they go through this trauma and it’s just another day at school. Well I’m tired of society turning its back on the people affected by this disease. My family will spend a lifetime healing and many others will too.
Our plan to help the community this year and help honor my brothers memory will be to raise money by selling crafts from 12-6 from 25th-30th we will use this money to help kids in the community that have been affected or need help with getting a Halloween costume on Halloween. We will also take gently used costumes to donate. We will end Halloween night With a Halloween party for trick or treaters to visit. As always we are the house with the pet cemetery (Melissa Dr. Nicholasville) this year it’s going to be little bit different. We ask you to stop by and honor your loved ones that you lost and if you’re struggling with anything please SCREAM FOR HELP!
I would like to make a nonprofit that focuses helping kids that are affected by the opioid epidemic and have lost loved ones and are placed in homes with family members or foster care and inside their heads are screaming for help. Scream for help can be much larger than just helping with costumes. This can help the community heal and help these children begin a new and positive chapter in their lives.
