Hi I’m Sophia, based in Cockermouth, West Cumbria. I have set up a voluntary collaborative called “Scrub Up”, and have been recruiting volunteers who are able to assist me with producing nonsurgical Scrubs, laundry bags and head wear for the NHS, Care Workers, Pharmacists, Dentists, Opticians, any key worker that is in the front line during the COVID - 19 Pandemic.

We are doing this “shout out” as we just want to “give back” to our hero’s, by making them something they have requested to wear whilst they are at work - call it a little “fabric hug” from team Scrub Up! We just simply need to buy fabric and other materials such as threads and patterns etc for these garments to be produced.

These amazing people are working longer hours than usual and their shift turn around is quicker than normal, therefore, we want to make life just that little bit more manageable for them by providing them with some scrubs so they can go out to work knowing that we care about them too!
