Sculptural Canvas Art...and Beyond!

My name is Jay and I am a professional sculptor and designer of over 20 years. Ever since I can remember, I have loved creating my own collectibles. Be it modifying action figures into custom figs I wished existed, sculpting characters or making my own animation cels - it has always been my passion to create. This led me to a professional career in collectible product development.

I have been fortunate to design collectibles for many of my favorite properties including Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, Looney Tunes, DC and Lord of the Rings. Though many were successful internally, ironically, they were not the type of products die-hard fans like myself would collect. Over the years I have come up with my own ideas and have created many original pieces. Therefore, I've decided to follow my passion and take the leap to create the collectibles I want to see in the world, and I'm respectfully asking for your help.

-A New York Afternoon-

The Concept: Create sculptural canvas collectible wall art that consists of 3D hand-sculpted and hand-painted characters on a printed (or painted) canvas background depicting cartoon scenes that any fan of film or animation will be excited to display in their home.

The Goal: Sell enough limited editions to allow me to pursue the dream of creating my own line of collectibles as a full-time job! This requires me to mold, cast, paint, and assemble by hand multiple sculptural canvas copies based on an original version.

The Contribution: Your funding will allow me to purchase the multitude of supplies I need to create the hand-made limited edition replicas based on my original sculptures. Supplies such as clay, paint, molding and casting supplies, canvas, canvas printing, lighting elements and whatever else may go into these works of 'heart'.

The Hope: The hand-made limited edition sculptural canvases will be successful enough to springboard my passion into a full-time business so that I can create a variety of future product concepts that I can share with the world!

I have already begun this project of sculptural canvas art, and your pledge will help jumpstart this project bringing it to fruition faster than I could otherwise hope for. Anything over this goal will be put back into more supplies, more products and more time to get it done!
