Promoting the SDG Goals w/ Posters
Donation protected
We're a class of 8th graders in Belfast, Maine. We're studying the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs.) One thing we've realized is that not enough people, both in the US and internationally, know about the SDGs. Our plan is to purchase 100 posters (see our photo) to spread the word. We'll send 2 posters to a school in each of the 50 US states. Those schools will then display one of their posters in their school, but will be asked to send the second poster to a school overseas. This will be the beginning of US and overseas schools engaging in partnership projects pertaining to the SDG goals. My classes will begin a blog (with a map) tracking the journeys of all of the posters and all of the ensuing projects that emerge from these partnerships.
At Vistaprint, the posters, laminated for durability, cost $18 each. We're raising money so that participating schools will not have to pay for the posters. Participating schools will be expected to pay for postage for the second poster to go overseas.
Our original fundraising deadline was 12/31/17. We're extending the deadline to June 15 of 2018.
Thanks for your support!
