Foodbank/Mobile Pantry Appeal

Fans Supporting Foodbanks was formed in October 2015 and is a unique partnership between Blues and Reds from the two supporters groups - Spirit of Shankly and the Blue Union.

We have an Humanitarian crisis on the streets of every major town and city. From humble beginnings collecting food in a wheelie bin on match days, we are now directly feeding over 8,000 people every month through our mobile pantry operation via six sites across the City

The demand on us is greater than ever. The cost of living crisis coupled with spiralling fuel costs has increased demand and negatively impacted on donations. We want to ensure the long-term sustainability of our mobile pantries. They give people the opportunity to access fresh fruit, vegetables and meat at a lower cost, making sure that families and individuals struggling to put food on the table can still access the healthy food they need whilst bolstering the family budget so that they can avoid getting into crisis and ending up in a food bank.

We are urging fans to make a donation via this donation form - £3.50 is enough to cover the weekly pantry shop for one family or household. All donated monies will be ring fenced for purchasing food for our Foodbanks and pantries, which support some of the most vulnerable people in our community, including the young, old, and infirm.
