SEA trans femme in need of support for housing & living

Hey everyone!

This is Mimi a.k.a wanton witch, a bornean underground trans femme experimental music dj and producer. In 2023 I willed a risk and moved to Germany with little to nothing in my pocket or anything/anyone to fall back on, to find a community here for me, my artistry and to boost SEA music in the German scene. Although I’ve been given great opportunities and feel like my art is slowly being recognized, I’ve come to a point where I cannot sustain my life anymore and really need to ask for help.

Ever since I got here I’ve been living in unstable housing situations, which has not only taken an immense toll on my mental health but now also with very irregular income I’m in a situation where I only got money left for the next due rent which is in a couple of days. On top of that I have debts to pay off, from my move and sustaining myself here over the first year and the past since covid time. I’ve been working hard to be able to solve this by myself, but the instabilities caused my depression to get so bad, that I struggle to get myself to being productive these days. This just comes as a little side to being limited with work opportunities by my artist visa, and trying to navigate the industry as a SEA trans women with all the shit that goes along with that \(°Ω°)/

I’m seeking help from y'all to help me with getting together a deposit for a stable home, pay off some debt and some money for the next rents, medications & bills so that I can get back on my feet. My current sublet is only until May so I'm already in need of a new place. I know its a lot to ask, but I don’t really know of any other way right now… ¯\(°_o)/¯

Im getting increasingly scared by German cultural landscape, as it’s harder to get fundings these days as y’all know and although I hate asking for help, I realize I cannot do it alone anymore. I’m even scared to use my voice and artistry these days to support ongoing liberation struggles and social causes, even though this is very dear to me, cause I cannot turn down any paycheck these days.
