Sealey the Survivor

Hello, my name is Jessica and I am Sealey's Tia Bestie. I am also big sister to Roy & Shelby and Tia to the precious Raylea Mae.

On May 13, 2024, Sealey or SJ for short, was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. A diagnosis that shocked and rocked our world. His mom and dad are now navigating a whole world of unknowns with SJ and big sister Raylea. Roy and Shelby will be spending as much time as possible with SJ in the hospital, while trying to keep Raylea's days as close to their new normal.

Currently, SJ is at UMC in Lubbock, Texas in the Pediatric Oncology ward. On May 15th he will undergo surgery to place a port, collect bone marrow and will also have a spinal tap done. His first round of chemotherapy will be almost immediately following the placement of the port. The first round of chemo will last about 10 days, followed by a few days of rest and then another round of chemo. At this time, they think that he will require 4-5 rounds to help fight off the leukemia. The plan they have put together so far is very aggressive. SJ, Roy, Shelby and Raylea will now need us to rally around them and help out with whatever is needed.
