Sean Barber Family First Fund
Donation protected
Hello friends and family! As you may already know, my brother Sean got into a very serious motorcycle accident with his daughter, Lillian. Thank God Lillian is okay and out of the hospital. We wish we could say the same thing about Sean, who sustained life threatening and life changing injuries.
First of all, I would like to thank everyone who has sent us thoughts and prayers and shown so much love and support to our family. Those vibes are working and slowly but surely he is showing signs of being the Sean we all know and love. When I asked him to move his finger today he slowly, and with great effort, FLIPPED ME THE BIRD! I would also like to thank the staff at Dartmouth Hospital who is keeping us informed, and are treating Sean with care and respect and trying to manage the enormous amount of trauma he sustained.
Sean’s road to recovery will be a long one. He is making strides everyday, but due to his TBI (traumatic brain injury) he can’t move his left side without painful stimuli being applied (and even then, it’s weak and limited), he still has a feeding tube, is heavily sedated, and has only opened his eyes a couple of times. His future consists of a lot of medical care and living in a rehabilitation center when he is well enough to be transferred to one. Unfortunately, his future also consists of many bills piling up with no way to pay them. Sean’s partner Amanda and their kids, Lillian, Quinlan and Elizabeth all worked to help with the Barber Family Construction business and without Sean there, there will be a substantial change of income. There is no telling when he will be recovered enough to work again, but we know it won’t be any time soon.
Anyone who has ever met my brother knows that he would give you the shirt off his back in a heartbeat if you needed it (after he razzed you, gave you a good handshake and a slap on the back!). Now I am asking you to take this opportunity to show your love and support and help him out when he needs it the most! Any donation you make would be very much appreciated. It all adds up and it would mean so much to him and his family to know that they have the love and support of the community they have been a part of their whole lives.
Sean is a wonderful man who loves his family and friends with his entire heart. Let’s band together and shoot some of that love right back to that crazy guy and keep our eyes on the prize: getting our Sean back!!!
