On December 5th, 2020, the Tessier family was faced with the tragic passing of Sean Tessier at the age of 33. Sean is survived by his wife Nikki and their two daughters Amelia(5) and Winry(2). In October of 2020, Sean was diagnosed with Leukemia. Just weeks later, while undergoing treatment, Sean faced complications which resulted in a loss of oxygen and brain damage. Sean tragically passed away a week later.
It is never easy to lose a loved one, but the loss of Sean hits especially hard for his family, friends, and community. Sean lived for his wife, daughters, and students. He lived his life completely dedicated to those he loved around him. Sean’s diagnosis and untimely passing took everyone by surprise.
Sean was a teacher and administrator in the San Fernando Valley for seven years, and this was just beginning a promising career. During Sean’s time as an educator, he ran extra-curricular activities, such as chess clubs and environmental clubs. Sean’s dedication to cleaning the environment and making his community a better place was something he cared about, and he shared his passion with his students. He was not just a man of words; he also took action.
Sean’s community will remember him as a selfless individual, who put his all into everything he did. Sean helped everyone he met, without ever needing to be asked.
Now, it is time for his community to help his family in their time of need.
Dealing with the death of a spouse is something that seems impossible to prepare for, and it is only right to alleviate the financial burden of medical bills, funeral costs, and maintaining life without Sean’s income. Please reach into your hearts and come to the aid of Sean’s family. Nikki, Amelia, and Winry need our love and support right now.
