Please Help Sean’s TBI Recovery
Donation protected

First I would like to start with an abundance of gratitude for the support that has come into our life over the past 3 weeks. Thank you to our family, friends, coworkers, neighbors, medical providers, and physical care providers who have helped Sean’s journey in healing his traumatic brain injury.
For those of you who do not know us, my name is Cara and Sean is my husband. Sean had an epidural hematoma which required an emergency craniotomy. He was in a medically induced coma for 13 days and stayed in the ICU at Blake Hospital for a total of 16 days. He is now out of ICU, and in the step down trauma unit. His prognosis continues to improve but he will require intensive rehab. The doctors have decided it would be best to transfer Sean to a specialized hospital. We will be leaving Blake and going to a rehab hospital in Jacksonville. It is rated the #1 rehab hospital for traumatic brain injuries in FL. We want nothing but the best for him and his recovery. We are asking for help getting Sean to Jacksonville and help with other medical expenses. He will need to travel with a medical team. It is expensive and insurance will not cover any portion.
Sean will need time for his brain and body to heal. His recovery will be in terms of months, not days or weeks. We appreciate anything you can donate to help him continue to get the best of care and help myself and our 4 children to be able to afford daily expenses while we navigate this challenge. If you are not able to donate, we are also very grateful for “shares” and prayers of strength, healing, and encouragement for Sean and our family. Thank you for your support.
