Searching for a hand back up, not just a hand out

Hi, my name is Carla. Let me first say that if my body would allow me to work, I would be working right now, just as I have for many years.
Like so many others, I have faced many challenges. Some challenges have been easier to overcome than others. Presently, I am faced with something way beyond my control. I have Osteo, Psoriatic and Rheumatoid Arthritis. Having had a hip replacement almost a year ago, I should be well healed and back to work. Sadly, this is not the case.
A month after my hip was replaced, my femur on that leg broke while doing Physical Therapy at my home. It is still incredibly painful. It remains open. The Surgeon believes it is infected and that the hip implant did not have the bone grow into it to stabilize it. We are waiting for the results of recent tests.
If the Doctors suspicion is correct, it would answer why it is so excruciatingly painful, and we would know how to proceed. I have been instructed to stop taking my Arthritis medication pending the results of the recent tests. The Arthritic medication was my only form of relief.
If indeed it is infected, heavy-duty antibiotics are needed to clear the infection. If the results show the bone didn't grow into the new hip implant, it will result in 2 separate surgeries. The first surgery would be to remove the implant and keep it out of my bone for 6-8 weeks to allow the infection to heal. The second surgery would be to fix the broken bone with a metal plate and screws and implant a new hip joint.
All of this has prevented me from being able to work a normal job in the past year. I have applied for disability and it will still be somewhere between March and June before I may hear of a determination. I would like to work from home so that I have a way to pay my bills, but I don't have high-speed internet or other items necessary to do that line of work. If I had the funding to apply toward that, I would.
I have no income at all. That is why I am requesting financial help from anyone who may be able to help me get through this tough time right now.
I have been doing my best to do without anything unnecessary to daily living. I need to be able to pay for things like rent, utilities, groceries, etc. and also to get my car fixed. My car is almost 20 years old and has a blown head gasket. I was quoted $1,500-$1,800 for the cost to repair it. Any help you may be able to provide would be most appreciated.
Thank you very much. May God Bless you.
