Are you tired of hearing everyone say that climbing season is over for Washington? Trying to find ways to get in shape for ice climbing?
Behold! The finest selection of dry tooling routes in the Pacific Northwest!

As many of you already know, there has been a steady development of dry/mixed routes going on for the last 11 months. Wayne's World and Darkside crags have received a lot of traffic, especially the recent biweekly ladies gathering of Ladypollooza! They have been going strong for about two months, please reach out to me if you are interested in learning more and connecting with them.
We are slowly but surely working on the newest crag, ROADHOUSE.
Roadhouse contains the next level of difficulty. The easiest route here is D8, and should fill out with 8-10 climbs of similar and harder difficulty to D10. The 80 degree overhanging roofs make for intense and natural gymnastic climbing, and is being fully bolted. Less emphasis is being spent on TR access, but we worked and cleaned that up to where it is at least possible to try the routes. Also, all the route names are ridiculous.
Boaty McBoatface D9
Hiphoppopotamus D8
Rhymenoceros D9?
Rabbit In The Streets D10
Troll King D8?
The routes here need permadraws. The amount of swinging and down-aiding to put draws on a route and then clean them is really strenuous. also some routes at Wayne's World/Darkside could benefit from the permadraws for lowering from cruxes and promote leading.
Some of the routes we developed during the summer don't actually have anchors, and those need chains and quicklinks.
We are waiting for the first wave of storms, and several of us are monitoring the larger alpine faces to begin our assault of some big multipitch mixed lines. Be on the lookout for free hanging daggers, and we will climb them!
Also, thank you all who have donated before and trusted us to develop all these climbs. It's been a really great experience for everyone to have such a fun and approachable resource so close to Seattle.
Regards,
Kyle Willis
