Howdy! 

In lieu of giving traditional wedding gifts like toasters, and other kitchen accoutrement, Laura and Colby humbly request your support in the greatest gift of all, starting a family. Laura and Colby would like to adopt a child, and your gift will help bring them closer to the joy of creating a family. 

Colby and Laura first met in Model United Nations at Northern Arizona University in 2006, Laura and Colby briefly dated at NAU, but Colby was definitely playing the long game. After graduation, they went their separate ways, Laura living and working in production that took her all across the US, and Colby living and working in Qatar. They maintained contact over the years and would visit occasionally. It wasn’t until Colby moved to Austin, Texas when Laura finally gave in to his irresistible wit. Laura moved to Smithville, Texas and shortly thereafter they moved in together. They married in January 2022, moved to Dubai, and now wish to start a family. 

With already being a globally diverse household, Laura and Colby would like to adopt internationally. Laura will be a great mom, with a passion for nurturing, creativity and homemaking. Colby will be a great dad, with a commitment to curiosity and learning, adventures, and compassion for others.
