Sebas to Yosemite, bolt hangers to Suesca
Donation protected
Hello fellow climbing friends,
I'm hoping you're reading this because you've had fun climbing with Sebastian Mejia at the sandstone cliffs in Suesca, Colombia. Sebastian's skills and stoke as a climbing guide, Suescano, English speaker, and family man make for a wholesome and positive day in the country - even if it rains a touch!
Sebas set up my first top rope in 2015 and gave me my first belay device in his living room, next to his pride and joy - the 5x5 topo map of El Capitan. Since then I've thought it would be relatively easy for fellow travelers to supplant his first trip to Yosemite and tie in an American loop of climbing community. It's been a minute, though - even a $160 Visa application took a year to be approved!
The hope with this fundraiser is to raise ~3k to cover flight and gas for a three week trip in April/May of 2023, and to use additional funds to load a pack or two with Fixe bolts and hangers for Sebastian to haul back to Suesca (represent!)
Thanks for being a part of Seb's climbing family. To keep up with the trip's progress, be sure to follow him on Instagram @mndrll.
No raffles, sweepstakes, giveaways, or returns on investment are offered in exchange for any donations made to my GoFundMe.
