Sebastian Gonzalez Rodriguez

Adrian Gonzalez y Ana Karla Rodriguez, Sebastian's parents, with the invaluable support of the Araujo Family, and Juan Rodriguez (uncle) are raising funds for his medical treatment and hospital expenses.

Sebastian is a noble, kindhearted, and generous young man with dreams of becoming a Mechatronic Engineer. At 18 years old, Sebastian has his whole life in front of him. He was healthy two weeks ago with a bright future, but he has now been diagnosed with Atypical Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome (aHUS). This extremely rare autoimmune disease attacks healthy blood cells, causing blood clotting and kidney failure. Sebastian is in ICU, going through dialysis.

Research into aHUS is limited because the disease is so rare, but the worldwide coalition of doctors working on the condition has identified a few treatments that are working. While 25% of global cases are still fatal, 75% of patients survive. We need your help to make sure Sebastian falls into the latter category.

(1 infusion of Eculizumab costs approximately $20, 250 US Dollars) it is considered one of the most expensive drugs in the world.

Our compromise: If Sebastian does not get to use all the money raised for any reason, the balance will be allocated in its integrity to someone suffering from aHUS.

Adrián y Ana Karla padres de Sebastián con el invaluable apoyo de la Familia Araujo, y Juan Rodriguez (tio de Sebastian) estamos haciendo una recaudación de fondos para los gastos del hospital y su tratamiento médico.

Sebastián es un joven maravilloso, de buen corazón, noble y generoso que tiene una pasión por la Ingeniería y programación robótica. Su sueño es estudiar Ingeniería Mecatrónica. A sus 18 años, apenas hace unos días, fue diagnosticado con Síndrome Hemolítico Urémico Atípico (aHUS), una enfermedad ultra rara del Sistema inmunológico , que ataca las células saludables de la sangre, causa coágulos y daño severo a los riñones. Actualmente está en cuidados intensivos y recibe hemodiálisis.

Investigaciones acerca de esta enfermedad indican que el 25% de los casos son fatales, pero 75% de los pacientes pueden sobrevivir. Esperamos que Sebastián sea parte del segundo grupo. El tratamiento que se necesita es uno de los más caros del mundo. Cada dosis (3 ampulas) de “Eculizumab" tiene un costo total de aproximadamente $405,000 MXN pesos o el equivalente a $20,250 US Dollars

Además de sus donaciones, la familia González agradece sus oraciones para Sebastián para que el tratamiento sea exitoso y pueda hacer sus sueños realidad.

Compromiso: Si por cualquier razón Sebastián ya no necesitase del dinero recaudado la cantidad disponible se destinara íntegramente a un paciente con el mismo padecimiento que necesite el apoyo.
