Sebastian's Fearless Fight to Survive

Sebastian had a crossbow accident in early April 2019 and was shot on the left side of the neck. He was rushed to the hospital and the operation to remove the arrow went well. But by that time he had lost a lot of blood and suffered global brain swelling. After a week, the doctors explained that Sebastian had no chance of survival and was probably 95 % brain dead.
I refused to believe that my son's life was over and I wanted to wait till the swelling went down and see if he would wake up.
Sebastian is a good and gentle soul who loves to help others. He will often walk up to homeless people on the street and just ask them how they are doing and bring them things they may need. He is also mildly autistic and sees the world in a positive way and wants to help change the world for the better. He is my heart and our earth angel.
After 3 weeks Sebastian did wake up and could only communicate using eye blinking and tongue movement. A week or so later, he started mouthing words and eventually mouthing full sentences. What was amazing at that point, was that Sebastian still recognized his family, eventually was able to communicate in full sentences, has kept his long term memory and his personality was intact.
Sebastian couldn't move his body nor breathe on his own except with the assistance of a ventilator. Sebastian wants so desperately off of the ventilator for another reason, so he can use his voice instead of just mouthing words since the ventilator is located at his throat.
I had started several different alternative therapies with Sebastian from Day 1, which included energy healing. Every day, I saw more and more of my son coming back and after several weeks of therapies, Sebastian can now move his neck on his own and since he took his first breath on his own over a month ago, he is now on a pressure support ventilator that is initiated by his breaths.
I perform his physiotherapy, energy healing, massage therapy and acupressure on my son every day. With the help and advice of outside holistic practitioners, we are seeing amazing changes. A little bit about myself, I am a Registered Massage therapist and Certified Matrix Repatterning practitioner. I start my day by visiting Sebastian and doing his therapies. I go to work, come home for dinner and then I go back to Sebastian to continue his therapies. I want to make sure his body continues to get stimulus for his mind and body to relearn to communicate and function. His body is reacting very well and we are seeing huge changes in his sensation to his limbs and more and more movement happening each day.
We have one major challenge: Sebastian needs an operation for a diaphragm pacer that would help Sebastian to breathe so that he can finally get off the ventilator. This is a device that works similar to a pacemaker for the heart, but instead, it allows electrical signals to be sent to the diaphragm to allow the lungs to inhale and exhale. However, the operation is not covered by Ontario health insurance. It is a substantial amount of money that is not something I can afford. This money would also pay for proper nutrition since the hospital provides a tube feed that Sebastian has food sensitivities to, so I purchase all of his tube feed from my own pocket. It would also pay for therapies and equipment that will help with his recovery. Sebastian has been through so much and has beaten all the odds and statistics that doctors are shocked at how quickly he is recovering. I had asked friends and family from all over the world to pray for Sebastian. The power of prayer and love is saving my son's life.
So my goal is to raise about $150,000 to cover the surgery that Sebastian so desperately needs. I am humbly asking for your help and prayers because I could not imagine a world without this beautiful person in it. We all love him so much.
