Second Annual 'Junk for Joy' Holiday Philanthropy

IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN
We are thrilled to announce our Second Annual "Junk For Joy" Holiday Philanthropy Event.
Here at The Junk Trunk we value and are greatly appreciative of the family and community that we have, and this year, more than ever, we have felt the importance of this community. So this holiday season, we are working to help bring this sense of family and community to some of Denver's underserved children who don't necessarily have what we are so appreciative of.
Over the next month, with the help of our customers and community, we will be raising money to sponsor warm holiday meals for the kids and clients of the following organizations.
MEET OUR PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS
Third Way Center - "Third Way Center continually adapts innovative science combined with dedicated mental health treatment for youth in need, allowing growth & healing to begin. We Break the Cycle. Adolescents make their way to Third Way Center from a variety of backgrounds, often from foster care, youth corrections or homelessness. Our goal is to break the cycle of trauma by helping young teens discover their own path to success." Learn more about Third Way Center at https://thirdwaycenter.org/
Denver Children's Home - "Denver Children’s Home provides a comprehensive therapeutic and educational continuum of care for our region’s abused, neglected and traumatized children and their families with mental health issues. We offer prevention, intervention, and treatment programs grounded in trauma-informed care and the latest in brain-development research." Tennyson Center for Children - "Tennyson Center for Children has served Colorado’s most neglected, abused, and traumatized children since 1904. We provide a safe, stable home for kids 5-18 who are facing critical circumstances and need residential care; an accredited, therapeutic K-12 school with a 4:1 student-to-staff ratio on our campus; and in-home and community services in 19 counties across the state to provide preventive services and therapy to strengthen families with children aged 0 to adulthood." Learn more about the Tennyson Center for Children at https://www.tennysoncenter.org/.
Urban Peak Housing - "Founded in 1988, Urban Peak is the only non-profit organization in Denver that provides a full convergence of services for youth ages 15 through 24 experiencing homelessness or at imminent risk of becoming homeless. Our goal is to help these youth overcome real-life challenges and become self-sufficient adults." Services include an overnight shelter, a day time drop-in center, education and employment programming, and supportive housing. Learn more about Urban Peak Housing at https://www.urbanpeak.org/
We know that this year has presented many challenges and obstacles for everyone, but whatever you can afford to give is greatly appreciated by us at The Junk Trunk, and all of the kids we are helping to serve. Whether it be $5 or sharing our campaign with your neighbors and friends, everything helps.
At the end of our campaign, all funds raised will be split up between our 4 partner organizations, ensuring that we deliver as many holiday meals as possible!
