Annual College Fair (Feria Universitaria)

In 2019 we held our first annual College Fair, since the pandemic we have struggled to hold the event again but knowing the impact this event can have in showing represented communities the options and opportunities available to them we will be hosting the 3rd annual “College Fair - Reaching your Dreams”, held on April 20, 2024 from 10 AM to 3 PM at La Casa Guadalupana 4330 Central St, Detroit, MI 48210. This event is being organized by Amor y Esperanza a community/family resource nonprofit and in collaboration with New Paradigm College Prep and the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) Detroit Chapter, where our goal is to provide students with information on higher education and career guidance so one day these students may reach their professional dreams. In addition, SHPE Detroit will be hosting hands-on STEM activities and Engineering Panels where students can learn about STEM and career opportunities.

Your donations will go towards covering event costs such as renting tables, chairs, promotional materials, STEM activities supplies, food for volunteers, and school supplies.

Este evento está siendo organizado por Amor y Esperanza, una organización sin fines de lucro de recursos comunitarios/familiares y en colaboración con New Paradigm College Prep y la Sociedad de Ingenieros Profesionales Hispanos (SHPE) Detroit Chapter, siendo nuestro unico objetivo brindar a los estudiantes información sobre la educación superior y carreras. orientación para que algún día estos estudiantes alcancen sus sueños profesionales. Además, SHPE Detroit organizará actividades prácticas de STEM y paneles de ingeniería donde los estudiantes pueden aprender sobre STEM y oportunidades profesionales.

Sus donaciones se destinarán a cubrir los costos del evento, como el alquiler de mesas, sillas, materiales promocionales, suministros para las actividades STEM, alimentos y refrigerio para los voluntarios y útiles escolares totalmente gratuitas entre los asistentes al evento.
