Second Chance for Athena's Health

Hello, my name is Renee, and I'm creating this account on behalf of my friend Amy. Amy's dogs have always been her lifeline. She does everything with her dogs (Zeus and Athena) and will make any and all accommodations to involve them in her day-to-day life.

Recently, Athena has been having some very scary medical issues. An initial vet visit told her she was suffering from a form of hip deterioration at only 6 years old, and the best option was humane euthanasia. Giving up on her dog without fighting for her life didn't sit right, so Amy sought out a second opinion. Upon doing so, Athena received a new diagnosis in which the issue was actually neurological and has a chance of being fixed with the proper care.

If you've been a pet owner, you know all too well vet care can add up quickly. The amount listed is to cover MRI costs (cervical imaging costs), the spinal (IVDD) surgery, and time already missed from work to be home to care for Athena with other vet appointments and to administer medications. Any and all contributions are appreciated and don't go unnoticed.
