Second Surgery for Brazos, our Wolf Ambassador

Brazos is an amazing Seacrest Wolf Ambassador. He is 11 years old and is the brother of Forrest, the kissing wolf, who is alpha male of the Brat Pack. Despite having a rough 2019, Brazos is almost always smiling!!!
In January, Brazos was kicked out of his pack by a younger, over confident wolf. We placed him in a retirement enclosure with his brother Canyon and Echo, who was once the alpha female of the Brat Pack. Then in May, we identified an abnormality on his stomach, which within days had grown from a small bump to a huge, baseball size growth. Brazos underwent emergency surgery to remove this growth, which after a biopsy, was identified as a malignant tumor. Our wonderful vet was confident that the malignancy had been fully removed and it seemed as though Brazos would make a full recovery without further issues.
Unfortunately, this past weekend, we found two more small growths - one on his chest and one on the other side of his stomach - and immediately called the vet. After careful examination within his enclosure, our vet informed us that these growths needed to be removed. It is likely they are also malignant tumors.
We at Seacrest are heartbroken. Brazos is the sweetest, happiest wolf on property. And for 11 years, he has worked hard to act as an ambassador for his species and touch the hearts of all who meet him. We are determined to provide him with the best care possible. However, after the catastrophic hit Seacrest took from Hurricane Michael last fall, Seacrest is under tremendous financial stress. We are asking our friends for help to us pay for his medical expenses, which include transport, a second surgery to remove the growths, and aftercare medications.
Brazos is an incredible wolf. It’s impossible not to smile when you meet him. Any amount helps us reach our goal and we are so grateful for anything you can contribute to help us make our goal!
