Secret Fundraiser for Carrie Conrad

Hello, friends and family of Carrie!

Beneficiary: Izzi and Owen is their father, Chris Warth, who intends to use these donations directly to support Izzy with meeting whatever needs we can help meet with this fundraiser.

This fundraiser seems so surreal! I can't believe we are here, grieving over the loss of such a beautiful woman! She was a ray of light in this world, and many of us agree this world just got a little darker when God called her home. It's a shock to so many of us. Still, here we are, living in a world without her. Like many of you, I want to help this family lighten the load. Life just began to feel normal again after Carrie's dad, Randy (aka Pink), left us way too soon. If you knew Randy, you know where Carrie's larger-than-life energy came from. She carried that same bright light inside her smile, laughter, and heart. It feels like Carrie took the last of that light with her when she went chasing her dad into heaven.

 

As I sit with the family, I see all of us trying, fumbling to find the right words, trying not to ask, "how are you." We know the answer. I know I am devastated, helpless, and just wishing I could take some of this pain away. It's a long road ahead for Carrie's two children, Izzy and Owen. They now live in a world that doesn't have their mom in it. These next months will be hard for all the Conrads as they regroup and find ways to put the pieces back together.

 

You know the Conrads wouldn't ask for anything if you're reading this. They have a way of "making it work." This is why I am asking for this campaign to stay private. I am creating this campaign for those who, like me, want to help support this family but have no idea how. The money raised for this campaign will go to the family for the cost of Carrie's funeral expenses (if needed), and extra help to support Carrie's children in the next few months as they try to maintain, or better yet, find "normal." We can't bring Carrie back, we can't take away the pain. But together, we can try to help lighten the load as they find a way to "make it work" ....again.

 

Any donation helps as we show this family the power of community and how small acts of kindness make an impact. Please keep this private and let this be a "random act of unexpected kindness." Please share privately in text, email, or messages to help get the support in place. Once the campaign is complete, I intend to print off all well-wishes, notes, and contributions with this surprise gift of love so they can see who made this happen, read your encouragement, and know that we all love them; they have a community supporting them. The light is still here, and we all carry a piece of Carrie's light in our hearts forever.

All donations will go directly to support the cost of funeral expenses (if needed) and give Izzy and Owen some extra support with meeting whatever needs we can help meet with this fundraiser. Please leave a message with your donation so we can print them off and give them to the family. Please keep this quiet and let this be a quiet act of love until the fundraiser is complete and we can gift them with all of your messages of support and remind them, that they have an entire community walking this mile with them. I apologize to those who get this more than once, but in efforts to keep this a secret and not post publically I am sure this will happen.
