Secure Housing for Mark Salud, Computer Music Pioneer
Donation protected
Mark Salud is a legend in the Amiga chiptune scene, a true pioneer who helped shape the homemade electronic music landscape. His unique style and dedication to the craft has resulted in a massive catalog of original music and a public access television performance that served as inspiration for Tim and Eric's legendary skit “Minivan Highway.”
Now a senior, Mark is facing a challenging chapter - homelessness. Mark is disabled and unable to work, and he needs our help to secure housing in San Diego. After giving so much to the music community and inspiring so many, Mark deserves a chance to find stability and safety. Even while homeless, he continues to work on new music in shelters and motel rooms - he can't be stopped! Our goal is to raise enough to cover secure housing and basic living expenses.
Please consider donating to help a true artist and innovator find a safe place to call home. Any amount will bring us closer to ensuring Mark has the stability he needs to thrive again. Thank you for supporting a legend in need!
About Me
I am a longtime admirer of Mark's music and I run a small music label. I connected with Mark to work on an archival release of his music only to discover how dire his current circumstances are. I am working with Mark and his caseworkers and 100% of funds raised will go to him.
