Secure Construction of Sei's School before the Rainy Season
Donation protected
We recently had the privilege of visiting Sei, a tranquil island of the Turtle Islands in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Sierra Leone in West Africa.
During our visit, we spent time in the village and saw the daily life of the local people who live on the island. The village school is under construction and does not have windows, doors, or a roof as shown in the image below.
As a result, the children are currently using a makeshift classroom where they do not have space for desks, a board, and other school supplies as shown in the image below.
Limited funds to purchase and transport materials to the island have made it difficult for the village leaders to complete the construction of the school. Our fundraiser aims to raise $7,800 USD/£6,700 GBP to purchase and transport materials to the island to construct the roof, windows, and doors before the rainy season begins around May.
We appreciate any donation you can make to help ensure the children on the island receive a proper education for their future and livelihood.
Thank you.
