Help secure the future of Hatherleigh Market
Donation protected
We’re on an exciting journey to transform Hatherleigh Market into a vibrant, year-round hub for local commerce and community use, and sustainable practices. But we need your help to bring this vision to life…
OUR AIM: is to give Hatherleigh the opportunity to own its market, and help shape its future.
Your contribution for change: Our aim is to raise £100,000 through a blend of community shares, grants, and your generous crowdfunding support. These funds are crucial for equipping the market with essential features and cutting-edge green technology. Here’s how your support will make a difference:
Be a Part of Hatherleigh’s Regeneration: Your support is more than a donation; it’s an investment in the heart of our town. Every contribution brings us closer to a market that’s not just a shopping destination, but a cornerstone for local business growth, community connection, and environmental stewardship.
Your donation will help support the following activity:
- Will count towards match funding which will enable us to apply for £1m from the Government’s Community Ownership Fund to buy the market
- Will be used to pay professional fees for buying the market
- Will be used towards equipping the market with:
- --- Glass side enclosures
- --- Market operators office.
- --- Two accessible toilets
- --- Internal lighting and power.
- --- External power for stalls.
- --- Providing equipment essential for running the market.
Please note: Making a one-off donation allows you to support our project without purchasing shares in the community share scheme. This option is ideal for those who prefer not to join the Community Share Scheme or for those who wish to contribute less than £100. Whether you're an individual or a local business, every donation, large or small, is invaluable. However, please be aware that these contributions, while deeply appreciated, do not include a stake in the Community Share Scheme or infer voting rights. If you would like to become a member of the Community Share Scheme and pledge £100 or more please visit our Pledge page.
