Security Gates & New Door for The Gallery George

Hello my name is Theresa, I am the Director of The Gallery George. The gallery got broken into on Nov. 14, 2023 during a power outage on the block of 140 West Hastings Street. The alarm was triggered but as there was a power outage, there was not any security footage. Police are looking into it.

The thieves shattered the front glass door with a sledgehammer and stole a beautiful bronze life size horse head sculpture weighing over 200 lbs. and worth $19,500 CAD made by sculptor Richard Forbes.

We will need to raise funds to reimburse the artist, replace the front door and install security gates on the doors & windows. Please help The Gallery George so we can continue to support and showcase local established and emerging artists.
