Help get UMD's TerpSat to outer space!
Hello everyone! We are SEDS@UMD at the University of Maryland and we are a student led initiative to bring together those passionate for space! Founded in Spring 2020, we have brought together over 100 driven students who live and breathe space. Despite the pandemic, we strive to engage students with space mission design, analysis, and engineering as well as everyday skills. We are passionate about space development, exploration, and becoming UMDCP’s first club to reach the final frontier. To achieve this ambitious goal, we need your help. This year, we are raising money to support our TerpSat Satellite Project to launch a student-made satellite into space!
Your contribution will go directly toward supporting:
- Fund supplies, parts, and equipment for our TerpSat Satellite
- Cover the cost of the launch of the TerpSat Satellite
- Fund the software and necessary research to create the TerpSat Satellite
- Support the expansion of our STEM Education curriculum for primary schools
- Help cover administrative and operational costs
As a gift to our donors, we are offering incentives for fundraising or donating a certain amount. Your eligibility for these rewards depends on the name the donation is made in. If you are donating on behalf of yourself, you do not need to do anything else and are automatically eligible for all rewards. If you are donating to support a student fundraiser, please comment the name of the student’s fundraiser that you are supporting and they will be eligible for the rewards instead.

All incentives will be ordered and distributed at or around the end of academic year. Distribution is subject to change depending on COVID-19 safety guidelines.
