Scott McAdams - Heart Attack Recovery

I've survived cancer. I've also survived a stroke. When the doctor said, "You are having a massive heart attack. I'm about to perform a procedure to put two stents in your heart" I was pretty sure I was a goner.

I survived. I am grateful. I am still here.

I'm going to be off work for a while, doing cardiac rehabilitation. We have a little money in savings so we're not desperate, but we won't be on solid financial footing forever. I'm planning to get back to work asap but they're telling me I have three months of cardiac rehab to undergo.

And the medical bills will be coming.

I didn't hold a fundraiser after my cancer recovery or my stroke recovery. I had fewer responsibilities and obligations back then.
