Seeking help for medical cost for Elmer
Donation protected
This has been a challenging year for all of us, and it has hit a person very close to me in a way we never saw coming. Our good friend Elmer has been given the one, two punch of not only a covid diagnosis but also he just was given the heavy news that he has CML Leukemia.
He has had his lungs drained, has been on a feeding tube for the past few weeks and is in a medically induced coma to help him rest. There is hope on the horizon, though, because CML Leukemia has a high remission rate and is curable. But, like all medical treatment, it comes at a cost.
Elmer has been there for my wife and me for years, everything from being in our wedding, day-off hangouts, dinners both in and out, and as a constant kind-hearted soul that we are more than grateful to know. I know I'm not alone in having my life touched in a positive and lasting way by having Elmer in it, but now more than ever, he needs our help. Cancer is costly; between hospital stays, chemo, medicine and travel, it can sadly place the ones we love and their family in a more challenging place than just fighting to save their loved one's life.
So on behalf of Elmer, his family and anyone who has ever called him family, we are asking for some financial help. Give what you can every red cent goes to pay for treatment, helping with rent and medical bills. With your help, Elmer can beat this, so let's give him a leg up.
