Seeking Help In The Wake Of My Mother's Passing

Creating this GoFundMe is not something I wanted to do. Anyone who knows me knows I don't typically ask anyone for help. My mother passed away on January 26th of this year. I'd been taking care of her up unto her passing. When she passed I was between jobs. I had a bit of money saved and thought I'd have things sorted before it ran out. Between the grief and stress brought on by losing her alone, it's been one of the most trying periods of my life.

After constantly looking for work for the past 2 months, I was finally hired on April 11th, but it turns out that this job, which has been my only offer, doesn't start until the 1st of May at the earliest, I'm told, which means I won't see a paycheck for another few weeks at least. I'm realizing that I'm not going to make it that long financially. I've been exhausting my efforts and wouldn't be resorting to this if I didn't truly need the help.

More than anything at the moment, my main objective is keeping the lights and the water on, and the roof over me and my son's heads right now.
