Settling My Mom's End of Life Costs

Hello All,

I've done my very best for months to avoid having to ask for help settling my mom's estate, but I can no longer bare the costs. Sadly my health precludes me from working much more than I already do, and I've no other way to pay for finalizing her will.

More bills and taxes have arrived unexpectedly, this on top of expensive lawyer fees and pending cremation costs, and I'm running out of credit. The only thing I will receive back to help cover these is her pension settlement, which is less than $200. Her only insurance was for accidental death, and there are no other assets out there I can claim.

I'd also like to help my stepbrother with the costs to keep her dog happy and healthy. Like me, he has limited means, but he has kindly taken over her care.

Anything extra from this fundraiser will be to cover shipping costs on a few family heirlooms and photo books that my mom saved over the years. My family lost almost all of these in the 1990's, and I'd very much like to have a small piece of my former family with me.
