Sefer Torah Dedicated for Jacqueline Masjedian
Donation protected
On May 15th, 2020, the world lost an angel. Jacqueline Tzipora Masjedian — a daughter, sister, wife, and mother of three young men has pushed the envelope for what it means to be a mother. The timing of this tragedy in the midst of a global pandemic has converted Jacqueline’s home into the synagogue where teenage boys and young men that typically do not pray in a minyan come together to support the Masjedian family while also praying, learning, and growing closer to Hashem.
It is rare that we are able to bring a Torah into this world but as a community, we are coming together to dedicate a Sefer Torah in honor of Jacqueline’s memory. The creation of this Torah will be a blessing that will forever further the power of Judaism in the Los Angeles Jewish Community.
Given that the last commandment in the Torah is to write a Torah scroll, we are providing members an opportunity to dedicate portions of the Torah to them and their loved ones. There is no obligation to contribute, we only ask that you share and spread the word to those would benefit from being involved in this milestone of a mitzvah.
Donations given will reserve a spot in the Torah — please see below for how your donation will be dedicated. All who contribute are invited to the Torah Inauguration celebration when it is completed in the first months of 2021.
