Self-employed dad's emergency medical expenses

For the past couple months, I've been struggling with intense stomach pain and occasionally vomiting blood, but pushing through it. I'm a freelance writer and audiobook narrator, and pausing the gigs I've been working on would mean a major financial setback. I have a family to help provide for, so pausing and taking setbacks are not an option.

The option was taken from me when I could no longer get up off the bathroom floor. On top of having intestinal bleeding and stomach erosions, now I have a couple weeks' worth of lost work to bounce back from, along with the expenses of CT scans, endoscopic surgery, and expensive medication to suppress acids and repair the lining in my gut.

I'm not the type to ever ask for help, but I'm at the end of my rope now. All I care about is taking care of my family and continuing the work I love doing. I'm clawing my way up, but a helping hand may be the only way to get out of this hole.
