Help Eva send 4 Ethiopian children to school
Tax deductible
Update: wow thankyou everyone!! We have just raised enough to send 4 kids to school for a year!! All additional funds will go towards sending more children to school in Ethiopia!
Hi! My name is Eva and I was adopted from the SNNPR region of Ethiopia when I was 10 months old. I am now 12 and I like soccer, reading, movies, baking and sometimes math! I will become a bat mitzvah 1 day before I turn 13 and I have been preparing for for this day for a very long time! A Bat Mitzvah is a coming-of-age ceremony for Jewish women. This happens around the age of 13. This is when I am considered an adult in my jewish community. During my Bat Mitzvah, I will be helping my Rabbi to lead the service and will read from the Torah (which is in Hebrew!)
As part of my bat mitzvah, I give back to the community through a Mitzvah project of my choosing.
I'm raising money to benefit Roots Ethiopia, Inc, and any donation will help a kid in Ethiopia get to go to school. If we raise 300 dollars, we can send one kid to school. My goal is to send 4 kids to school for 1 year which will cost $1200.
$25 will make sure a child has all the supplies she needs to attend school.
$50 will buy a student a new set of clothes and shoes.
$225 will give a student’s entire family food support once a year.
