Send 4 Trans Artists To Flamecon!

Donation protected
Hi! We are Zandra, Robin, Ayla, and Bitmap, and we’re a team of four trans women artists, writers, and all-around creatives doing our best to bring joy (and queerness) into your world through comics and light novels! We need your help to make it to Flamecon 2018, the preeminent queer-focused comics convention of the year, where we can sell our work, meet our fans and collaborators, and make a big stride toward being the best artists we can be!

So what do you do, more specifically?

So glad you asked!

You might know Alex Zandra Van Chestein from her light novels , including “My Friends And I Were Granted Three Wishes By A Cat Goddess and I Swear I Got Distracted When My Turn Came Around” and “I Signed Up To Be The Substitute Familiar of a Struggling Witch To Pay My Bills and I’m Just Now Realizing What I Got Myself Into.” These illustrated books are little bombs of positivity, tenderness, and trans self acceptance, and we’ll have them all printed and purchasable, including a new not-yet seen novel, “The Sun Lamp I Bought To Help With My Winter Depression Was Meant For Plants And Now I’m Growing Over My Apartment?”

Ayla Arthur is the artist of Glass Sword , the story of a recent college dropout and her friends protecting monsters in a modern fantasy world bursting with color, humor, and action. Shonen Manga, but for girls, and the first volume will be printed and available for purchase for the first time!

Bitmap Prager is the acclaimed artist of Ashen Princess , a funny, romantic, and breathlessly joyful vision of the Gay Space Future we’ve all been waiting for. Volume 1 will be available for purchase, and volume 2 will be making it’s long-awaited debut!

Last-but-not-least, Editor and Artist Robin BIlladeau, will also be selling a selection of her own short stories , including Starship Heart, My Liminal Year, and a brand-new tale of memory, trauma, and judo-flipping grizzly bears, Something Good!

We Need Your Help!

Conventions like this are a huge part of how we make our living as artists, reach our audience, and come closer to getting our voices out there! Unfortunately, they’re also an expensive proposition, and times are hard all over, especially for a quartet of underemployed trans women. We’re hoping to raise $3000: with your help we can handle food, lodging, and get a head start on our printing costs. We’re dedicated to making this the best convention it can be!
